Youth Orgs

Help young people develop shared leadership and relationship building skills needed to contribute positively to their community.

Youth-serving organizations want young people to feel a sense of belonging, develop agency, and take responsibility in ways that support their growth. Restorative practices can help staff create spaces where young people are listened to, included in decisions, and supported to work through challenges collaboratively.

Course: Restorative Practices for Positive Youth Development

This course introduces practical restorative approaches that youth workers can use to strengthen relationships and support positive youth development. Participants explore how to build trust, create opportunities for meaningful youth voice, and use collaborative processes to address challenges. The course is experiential, giving participants the chance to engage with practices they can adapt for their own programs and communities.

What youth workers are saying

“Roy’s community building circle created a setting where each person was empowered to safely express their experiences, concerns, and hopes. Over a few sessions, Roy led a group that transformed me to see with more empathy and to develop closer relationships.”

– Wil Soltysik-Española, Employee Experience Manager, The Children’s Trust
